Sonic Forces is an upcoming 3D and 2.5D action-adventure game being published by Sega and developed by Sonic Team for the Nintendo Switch. Sonic Forces was confirmed in July 2016 during a Sonic the Hedgehog Anniversary livestream, and was one of the very first games to be confirmed for the Switch. It will be released in Holiday 2017.
Storyline[]
In Sonic Forces, Sonic the Hedgehog is placed in a scenario where his nemesis, Dr. Eggman, has taken over. Sonic has to team up with his past self as well as the player (in the form of a custom hero) to form a resistance and take down the evil doctor.
